Duke Study Says Java Jolt Raises Blood Pressure

DURHAM — If you're a coffee junkie, that morning jolt could give you more than a pick-me-up.

Duke University medical researchers say people who drink four or five cups of coffee each morning raise their blood pressure and stress hormones for the entire day.

There's also concern that heavy caffeine consumption increases long-term risk for heart disease and stroke.
