GOLDSBORO — A standoff between sheriff's deputies and an armed man tied up traffic today for hours in Wayne County.
Deputies blocked off traffic on Wayne Memorial Drive for three and a half hours. Sheriff Carey Winders talked the man into giving up while SWAT team members watched from a distance.
