WENDELL — A Wake County couple chose the most romantic day of the year to tie the knot at a new chapel.
Donald and Denise Ennis are the first couple to get married at the White Dove Wedding Chapel in Wendell.
The groom serenaded his bride with a country love song during the ceremony. The bride and groom say they can't imagine a more romantic wedding date.
"We're just looking forward to getting married on Valentine's Day," Ennis said before the wedding. "I love Denise, she loves me, and we're looking forward to starting the rest of our lives together."
The groom says getting married on Valentine's Day guarantees he'll never forget his anniversary.
The newlyweds will honeymoon in Charleston.
