RALEIGH — A new type of cigarette on the market is smaller than regular cigarettes, but they pack a bigger punch.
The cigarettes are called Bidis, and they are imported from India.
Bidis are flavored tobacco that is wrapped in herb leaves. Most are dessert flavors such as strawberry, chocolate and mint.
Despite the sweet taste, theCenters for Disease Controlsays Bidis contain as much as seven times the nicotine in regular cigarettes.
