ABERDEEN — A 77-year-old woman who wandered away from her nursing home Friday was found Sunday afternoon. She has been admitted to Moore County Hospital, where she is in serious condition from the effects of exposure.
Lou Ellen Chambers was found shortly before 3 p.m. in a wooded area near a country club.
Foul play is not suspected.
She has wandered away from Greenbriar nursing home before, but had never been gone so long.
She is said to be an Alzheimer's patient.
