KNIGHTDALE — Traffic is back to normal along Highway 64, after an early morning accident tied up the road for hours.
A flatbed truck jackknifed on Highway 64, east of Knightdale, and one of its fuel tanks ruptured. 50 gallons of diesel fuel spilled in a grassy area off the road.
A hazardous material screw cleaned up the spill.
The driver wasn't hurt. He says a dump trunk cut in front of him and he veered too quickly.
The accident was still tying up eastbound traffic during the noon hour.
