CLAYTON, N.C. — Clayton police say a man arrested last month in connection with multiple "smash-and-grab" burglaries is responsible for another break-in.
David Armitage, 31, already faces more than 100 charges for burglaries in 10 North Carolina cities, including Raleigh, Cary and Apex.
Clayton authorities say Armitage broke into a home mortgage business Dec. 12 and took a laptop computer valued at $2,500.
Armitage, who records show has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 1994, is also wanted on 17 warrants in Tennessee.
Authorities are also seeking a second suspect, Miguel McLean, of Knightdale, on charges related to the break-ins.
Anyone with information on McLean's whereabouts is asked to call Henderson CrimeStoppers at
(252) 492-1925
or the Henderson Police Department at
