NASH COUNTY, N.C. — The Highway Patrol was on the scene of a deadly wreck Friday night in Nash County.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 264 Alternate near Old Smithfield Lane. Troopers said the car went off the road and onto an embankment in the woods.
The driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.
