RALEIGH, N.C. — Officials at Shearon Harris are speaking out about a federal inspection team that checked out the nuclear plant's security.
In a statement released Friday, plant officials said inspectors found no problems that needed immediate attention. However, a more detailed report could highlight some deficiencies.
A nuclear watchdog group, NC Warn, raised concerns after someone shot at a guard. The group also says its inside sources say some inside doors were unlocked and unmanned.
