Woman Found Dead In Wilson Duplex Was Strangled, Police Say

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police said that a woman who was found dead in an abandoned duplex earlier this week was strangled.

Police said that they are treating the death of the woman as a homicide.

Police identified the victim as Joann Cynthia Anderson, 42. Anderson has no current address, police said.

Anderson was found dead Wednesday morning in an abandoned duplex on South Pender Street.
