RALEIGH — If you are covered under the Blue Cross Blue Shield Personal Care Plan, you may need to find a new doctor. Twenty-one Triangle practices will no longer participate in the plan.
Doctors affiliated with the MedPartners group decided to pull the plug on PCP after a compensation dispute could not be resolved.
The following Triangle practices will be affected:

(Raleigh)Cary Pediatric CenterOberlin Road Pediatrics (Raleigh)Raleigh Internal Medicine (specialists)Rolesville Internal MedicineZebulon Family MedicineWendell Family Medicine CenterCardinal Cardiology of CaryKamm, McKenzie, Smith (Raleigh)Triangle Family Healthcare (Chapel Hill)Triangle Family Healthcare (Cary)Raleigh Family PhysiciansIf you are affected by the MedPartners dispute, you should choose another practice that does participate in the personal care plan.Members must select a new doctor byOctober 13. You must contact Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, not your human resources department, to make the switch.
Pregnant women will be able to keep their current obstetrician, even if their due date falls after October 13.
