<b>LAS VEGAS</b> — The manhunt for one of the nation's and North Carolina's most wanted men has finally ended. Carl Consolvo was arrested Monday morning just outside of Las Vegas.

Consolvo is wanted for a crime rampage that spanned several states, including Wake County. Apex police say he shot an elderly man during a carjacking in February.

When authorities caught up with Consolvo Monday, they found ammunition and $20,000 cash in his hotel room.

Mykia Daniel, an eighth grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh apartment. A 16-year-old was charged with her murder.
