Free Gun Locks to be Given Away in Durham

DURHAM — TheCity of Durhamis sending out a strong message if you own a gun: keep them away from kids.

The Durham Police Department is teaming up with theDurham Bulls, Wal-Mart, and UNC Pediatrics to give out free gun locks.

You can get the free locks at the Wal-Mart on Roxboro Road on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Officers will be on hand to show how the locks work.
