DURHAM — A multi-vehicle accident stopped traffic Sunday afternoon on US 15-501 when a man lost control of his vehicle.
According to Durham police, a man in a van was travelling along 15-501 between Garrett Road and Mount Moriah Road, when the sun blinded him as he tried to switch lanes.
He then rear-ended a Nissan, which lost control and hit a Chevrolet. The van was overturned.
No one was seriously injured in the accident, but two children, ages seven and ten, in the Nissan were injured. They were taken to Duke Medical Center, where they were recovering Sunday night.
No charges have been filed, as the investigation continues.
