WILSON — A worker at the Golden China restaurant near Parkwood Mall was shot during an armed robbery about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say two suspects wearing masks entered through the back door of the restaurant. They said there was an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and one worker, Pao Huang, who was shot in the chest and in the hand.

Police say Huang is in fair condition at Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Police were still searching for the suspects Thursday afternoon.

There were people dining in the Golden China at the time of the robbery, but police have not said if the gunmen made it to the dining room of the restaurant.
