APEX — A sixth grader from Apex Middle School has disappeared
Maria Gaona, 12, left for school Monday morning, but her family does not know if she ever made it. Her book bag was found in her room Monday afternoon, but Maria has not been seen.
Wake County officials would like to talk with a 28-year-old Hispanic man who is in the country illegally.
He and the girl knew each other, and he was recently talking about going back to Mexico.
