Volunteers Lend Talent for Good Cause

Posted Updated

CARY — Some local woodworkers want to make sure there's a present for every child this holiday season.

The Triangle Woodworkers Association put their talents on display at the Home Depot in Cary Saturday. They enlisted the help of Boy Scouts and other volunteers to make toys for needy children.

"It's a good day, good fellowship, a lot of fun for all to be had here and a good cause," said Fred Ford of the Triangle Woodworkers Association.

With materials donated by Home Depot, the Association hopes to donate at least 2,000 toys to the annual Toys For Tots campaign.
