DURHAM — Durham police are looking for a man they say assaulted a Duke student in her apartment Friday night.
Al-Shirawi told police that she let the man into her apartment because he said he was there to do a security check.
She told officers he was wearing police-type clothing, and had handcuffs and a gun.
The woman says he hit her, taped her up and stuffed her in a closet.
When she freed herself, the man was gone, so was her ATM card and her car.
