JOHNSTON COUNTY — Johnston County authorities have arrested the man they believe is responsible for attacking 56-year-old Helen Baker Wednesday. Authorities have taken Donnie Frank James into custody, in connection with the attack.
Investigators say James' prints are in the house, and friends of the suspect say he was seen near the victim's home Thursday.
The suspect lives a few miles from the victim's home, but apparently did not know her.
Deputies say James did seem familiar with Baker's habits and may have been watching her before the attack.
Officials considered James armed and extremely dangerous.
