RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are investigating the theft of an ATM from a restaurant early Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the Bojangles at 3301 S. Wilmington St. about 1:45 a.m., when they found the business had been broken into and the machine stolen.

A review of surveillance photos and evidence showed that a light-colored truck backed up to the business and a window was smashed, police said. After a chain was wrapped around the ATM, police said, the truck pulled the machine from the building and carried it from the scene.

Investigators said the truck might be an older model Dodge with a dent in its door. Surveillance cameras also captured an image of a man believed to be involved in the burglary.

Anyone with information that might assist the investigation of the case should call the Raleigh Police Department at 919-890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 919-226-CRIME.
