To Save Dogs, Sheriff Resorts to Numbers
Posted September 4, 1998
GREENSBORO — The sheriff who showed a dog being put to sleep on cable TV has added a new feature to his weekly show.
Guilford County's B.J. Barnes says he will use numbers to make his point from now on.
Barnes says he plans to list how many animals were taken in by county shelters and how many had to be killed.
He hopes it will inspire people to spay and neuter their pets.
