MOORE COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating the apparent homicide of an 80-year-old Robbins woman who was reported missing Wednesday.

Deputies were searching for Ruthie Jane Morgan, who was last seen traveling on N.C. Highway East Tuesday in a light blue Ford F series pickup.
The Moore County Sheriff's Office also said that the pickup, with North Carolina license plate
SNT-3634
, is missing.
Authorities found Morgan's body on a farm she owned near Highways 705 and 24/27 near Robbins. Family said Morgan often drove to the farm to feed her pigs and cattle.
Police have not said whether they have any leads or any motives for Morgan's death. Her body was taken to the North Carolina Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
