RALEIGH, N.C. — A former Wake County commissioner will receive a big honor.
On Wednesday,
Food Runners Collaborative
will name its facility in honor of Vernon Malone.
Malone has been an advocate for hunger relief and issues affecting older Americans for many years.
Malone is now a state senator.
