Third Student Arrested After Gun Found At Fayetteville School

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities have arrested a third person responsible for bringing a handgun on to a school campus in Fayetteville this week.

A 15-year-old student at Douglas Byrd Senior High School arrested Tuesday and charged with felony conspiracy possession of a weapon on school property. The suspect is being held at the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center.

On Jan. 9, 16-year-old Quinton Dale Moss of Fayetteville was arrested after he allegedly tried to pass the gun to another 15-year old juvenile. Moss wrapped the gun in a sheet of notebook paper in an attempted to hide it from school officials.

Moss was charged with felony conspiracy possession of a weapon on school property, and is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $5,000 The juvenile was also charged with felony conspiracy possession of a weapon on school campus and is being held in the Cumberland County Juvenile Detention Center.
