Two Fayettevelle Teens Arrested For Bringing Handgun To School

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two Fayetteville teenagers were charged Monday with bringing a handgun to their high school.

Cumberland County sheriff's deputies say 16-year-old Quinton Moss tried to pass the gun to a 15-year-old, whose identity is not being released because of his age.

Moss, according to authorities, allegedly wrapped the gun in a sheet of notebook paper in an attempt to hide it from Douglas Byrd Senior High School officials.

Moss was charged with felony conspiracy possession of a weapon on school property. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center.

The other teenager was also charged with felony conspiracy possession of a weapon on school property.

Moss is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Tuesday.
