Search For Lee County Woman Leads To Few Answers

e-mail print friendly

Exactly one week after Michelle Bullard was reported missing, Lee County investigators and volunteers spent Monday searching an area of land that stretches into Harnett County.

In their largest search to date, more than 50 investigators and volunteers from more than a dozen agencies searched the land after police dogs pointed authorities to the area on Sunday. The search, however, ended with no new answers as to what might have happened to the 23-year-old.

Authorities said Bullard was taken at gunpoint from a friend's home early last Monday, but have remained tight-lipped during their investigation.

North Carolina Highway Patrol helicopters also flew over the five-mile stretch of land from Lee County to Harnett County that ends where Thomas Kelly Road dead-ends.

Bullard's family says they refuse to give up hope or their search until she is found.
