— A North Carolina State University student was charged Monday after a wreck on Tryon Road left an N.C. State graduate dead.

Ryan Kiser Franks, 24, was pulling out of the Silver Lake Water Park at about 10:30 a.m. Monday when he collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Kathryn Anne Crane, authorities said.

Crane was eastbound on Tryon Road when her Ford Explorer ran off the side of the road, police said. She overcorrected and collided with Franks' Isuzu Rodeo, authorities said.

Franks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crane is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, authorities said.

Sorry, reread your post. Seems like you're trying to be a decent person. The problem is with those who don't try.

I believe I have been misunderstood. I too am a transplant some 15 years ago. The difference is, I try to respect the culture into which have chosen to interject myself. I have had "locals" not believe that I wasn't raised here. My problem is with those who move here and want to make it "just like home". THIS is home now, respect the culture, TRY to fit in, stop whining about how good it was up north.

Cars bumping in to one another involves a violation of the law. They're crashes not accidents. An accident is what you have when you balance your checkbook wrong.

see that shows how ignorant you are putting your faith in the SAT anyways.

If you can memorize words, you can do good on the SAT. And God only knows, memorizing words is what got this state to where it is today! Do some real work kid, and stop mooching off my tax dollars
