<b>SMITHFIELD, N.C.</b> — West Johnston High School will get some national exposure in November.

The school learned Friday that its band has been invited to be a part of the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The band was selected out of hundreds of nationwide applicants for one of 10 marching band performing slots in the 2008 edition of the annual holiday spectacular.
