Raleigh Police Still Seek Murder Suspect

Nathaniel Fair Jr. was a student at North Carolina State University, who lived in campus housing as recently as May.

Investigators issued warrants Saturday morning for Fair's arrest on charges of murder, kidnapping, robbery, and credit card fraud.

Meanwhile, two people police are calling accomplices on the credit card charges are behind bars on a $1 million bond.

Lawmen say 20-year-old Charles Bernard Robinson has an arrest record a page and a half long. Robinson and his girlfriend, Brandi Jeter, 20, are accused of using McNeill's credit cards on a shopping spree at Crabtree Valley Mall.

Jeter and Robinson were arrested early Saturday morning.

McNeill's body was discovered Thursday near a vacant lot in West Raleigh. A few hours later, his Ford Explorer was found in a parking lot at Crabtree Valley Mall.

"I feel a little relieved but the loss of my brother, nothing can replace that," said Ralph McNeill.

McNeill had been missing since Tuesday night, when he left his Harnett County church with $400 in cash that was to be deposited.

McNeill would have been the principal at the new Lufkin Road Ninth Grade Center this year.

Instead, just days before the school year begins, McNeill's pastor is preparing a eulogy for the popular educator.

"I must say how he loved the young people, the children. He was a lover of children," said Rev. Alfred Ferguson.

Police have not said how or why McNeill was killed. But they are calling this man, Nathaniel Fair, Jr, a suspect in McNeill's disappearance and death. Family members are asking anyone who knows where he is to call police.

Another McNeill brother says, "It would be hard to tell something on a family member." But, Ron McNeil says, "If you know that, you have to step forward. There's no other way."

Police say Fair has family in the Fayetteville and Cumberland County area. They have issued a nationwide bulletin for his arrest and warn that he is extremely dangerous.
