Durham Police Seeking Recruits

— Durham police are looking for a few good men and women.

The department held open houses Thursday morning and evening.

They're looking for 30 people to attend their August training academy. The department is especially interested in people who are bi-lingual.

    They forgot to add...African Americans only...white people not eligible....Durham is the most racist city in the world!

    Their city signs should not read "city of medicine" it should read "City of African Americans only"

    Durham really needs to get on top of the gang and crime problems they have. They need a new police cheif and mayor I think. I see the same ppl selling drugs on the same corners every day and the same prostitutes every day too. The cops don't seem to do a thing.

    And an experienced officer wanting to apply can't start until October - November. It seems if they could get experienced, certified officers that they would try to accelerate that process rather than spend 5 months training one from the ground up. Way too much bureaucracy.

    They're looking for 30 people in DURHAM to become police officers????? Good luck! Bi-lingual? Please..they better concentrate on the one's who can speak English first!
