Raleigh police announced Wednesday that they found the remains of two people in a wooded area near Capital Boulevard.

Authorities said the remains were found at the site of an informal encampment. They also said a fire had occurred in the wooded area, but investigators are not sure how the victims died.

The remains have been taken to the state medical examiner's office.

cheese I think it is a tent and fire pit. There have been several in the Raleigh/Garner area. The homeless will oftentimes set up camp in the wooded areas near the city so it is closer to walk to places.

Can someone explain to me what the hell is an "informal encampment"? I mean is like a KOA campground or is like a FEMA camp?

there was a girl from Goldsboro that died a few years ago. They found her car but never found her. I always wonder when people are found in Raleigh if its her. That is where she was living at the time.

Geez.I doubt 2 of them accidentally died of the same causes. Will be waiting to hear what the ME has to say.
