HAW RIVER — A double-fatality crash stopped interstate traffic in Alamance County Monday morning.
The two people died in a five-car accident on Interstate 40 near the Haw River.
A third person was airlifted from the scene.
Traffic was backed up for two miles for much of the morning.
The roadway has since been cleared and traffic is back to normal.
