RALEIGH — U.S. Senator Jesse Helms (R-North Carolina), who had knee surgery last week, will soon be back on his feet.
The 76-year-old has been moved from Rex Hospital to the hospital's Convalescent Care Center for therapy. He underwent a two-hour procedure to replace his knees Monday.
Doctors say the surgery was a success.
