RALEIGH — Senator Jesse Helms is recovering well from his bi-lateral knee replacement surgery. Doctors say he is up and walking around.
He is scheduled to be discharged from Rex Hospital Saturday.
The U.S. Senator will continue rehabilitation at Rex for several more weeks.
