FREMONT — Wayne County deputies are investigating a stabbing that left one man dead early Sunday morning.
It happened at a house in the Fremont community of Wayne County just before 7 a.m.
The house belongs to Fremont mayor Andy Evans.
A group of migrant workers who tend Evans' soybean and tobacco fields live there.
One of the workers is a suspect in the stabbing. The names of the suspect and the victim have not been released.
