CHAPEL HILL — Two of the three Fort Bragg soldiers who are recovering from heat stroke have been transferred to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The soldiers were rushed to Womack Army Medical Center Thursday after they collapsed during a 12 mile, full-gear march. The pre-dawn march was part of their expert infantryman specialized training.
Sgt. Bradley Evans and Sgt. David Witten have been transferred to UNC. Witten is in serious condition, Evans' condition is still listed as critical.
The third soldier, Sgt. Corey Wilson, is in stable condition at Womack.
