DURHAM — A crash involving a police cruiser and a high speed chase sent both the suspect and an officer to the hospital early Thursday morning. The pursuit started in Raleigh and ended in Durham.
Raleigh police had been chasing a white vehicle at 90-miles-per-hour through Raleigh. The Durham Sheriff's department started chasing the suspect after the car crossed county lines. The vehicle ended up crashing into a Durham police cruiser on I-85 near Avondale drive.
The officer's injuries are not life threatening. No word on the extent of the suspect's injuries. Neither the name of the officer or the suspect have been released.
