HILLSBOROUGH — Orange County investigators have charged a gun owner with failing to keep his rifle out of the hands of children.
The criminal summons says that Eddie Lunsford did not store his gun properly. A 13-year-old boy was shot when a a group of children found the rifle in Lunsford's home.
Lunsford is scheduled to appear in court on the misdemeanor charge on August 19th.
