— Fayetteville police are investigating a car crash that killed a woman Saturday afternoon.

Investigators said Marjorie Ballance, 70, was trying to turn into a parking lot off Grove Street when she was hit by an oncoming car and killed.

A child in Balance’s car and a child in the second car were both taken to Cape Fear Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the second car was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police have not filed any charges. However, officials said the accident is still under investigation.

Once again WRAL has this story screwed up. Marjorie Ballance was NOT driving the car making a left turn into a parking lot.

MARJORIE BALLANCE WAS THE PASSENGER IN THE CAR TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ONTO ANOTHER STREET BEFORE ENTERING A PARKING LOT!!!

THE ENTIRE, CORRECT STORY CAN BE FOUND IN THE FAYETTEVILLE OBSERVER!

Was it due to this story being some where besides Raleigh, or Durham that this information is INCORRECT??!!! hhmmm......
