LUMBERTON — Two people are dead after a 2-car collision in Robeson County Saturday night.
Troopers say a 23-year-old man driving a Mazda crossed the center line on Highway 71 and slammed head-on into a Mercedes.
The accident happened near the Lumber Bridge. The drivers of both cars died.
Troopers say it's too early to tell if alcohol was involved in the crash.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
