Posted Updated

RALEIGH — About 10:30 Saturday night a pickup truck flipped over several times on Raleigh's beltline, injuring three occupants. Two of them have life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses told authorities that the truck had been traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver seemed to lose control, and the truck flipped, landed on its roof and blocked traffic in both directions.

The wreck occurred between Hillsborough Street and Western Boulevard.

A Raleigh police officer said the three injured appeared to be in their 20s.

By 11 p.m., the injured had been taken to a hospital, debris had been picked up on the roadway and traffic was flowing smoothly in both directions.

Identities of those involved have not been released.
