<b>SILER CITY</b> — The North Carolina Highway Patrol is remembering one of its own. Trooper Danny Squires was off-duty when he was killed while working on friend's house.

Squires accidentally cut a power line and was electrocuted.

He was based in Chatham County and was a seven year veteran of the force.
