TAR HEEL — Luck was on the side of a truck driver on Highway 87 in Bladen county Thursday.
His tractor trailer was struck by a CSX train at the Bladen-Cumberland county line.
The man walked away from the wreckage unharmed. He says he saw the flashing lights at the railroad crossing, but his brakes failed and he couldn't stop in time.
