Cumberland County Student Scores Soar!

— Cumberland County's end-of-grade test scores are soaring by leaps and bounds. More third-through-eighth-graders are scoring at, or above, their grade level.

In fact, 80 percent of students tested at their current grade level. The high scores are credited to ongoing remediation throughout the school year, instead of summer school.

Officials say the program gives students the help they need before it's too late to do so.
