FAYETTEVILLE — A former Fayetteville police officer accused of rape and sexual misconduct has been moved to another jail.

Christopher Young is now being held in the Craven Correctional Institution in Craven County.

Jailers say it wasn't safe to house Young with inmates in Fayetteville. The rookie officer was fired after accusations came forward that he raped two women and assaulted four more during traffic stops.
