RALEIGH — The Wake County Sheriff's Department is searching for a suspect in North Raleigh accused of kidnapping and assaulting two women.
Police said that a young women surprised a burglar, who kidnapped her. The mother then came home and was also taken by the intruder.
The burglar took the two women to an ATM machine, and then brought them back to the home.
The young woman escaped and went next door to call the police. The mother also escaped, and the man fled the scene.
The police said that the neighborhood is isolated and that the suspect probably used a car to escape.
The two women were treated for minor injuries, and were taken to the hospital.
