<b>WENDELL</b> — Highway Patrol officials say weather was not a factor in a deadly car accident in Wake County overnight.

Investigators say 56-year-old Flossie Strickland was on her way home from her job as a Nurse's Aide when the accident happened.  She had just  finished up a 16-hour day when she fell asleep at the wheel.

The woman was two miles from her home, south of Wendell, when she ran off the road, and hit a tree. She died instantly.
