RALEIGH — Condemned killer Wendell Flowers has changed his mind. Now he wants to live.
Late Thursday the Supreme Court entered a stay just six hours before Flowers was scheduled to be executed.
The 44-year-old had said he was ready to die.
Flowers was already serving a life sentence when he was sentenced to death for the 1989 murder of a fellow inmate.
