RALEIGH, N.C. — An emergency fire call turned into a fatal shooting investigation for police Friday night at a North Raleigh complex.
Authorities said that the shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the Walden Woods Condominiums on
Grinding Stone Road
off of East Millbrook. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the shooting victim and called police. The shooting victim was transported to WakeMed, where he later died.
Investigators told WRAL there's a possibility the shooting happened during a home invasion and attempted robbery. Police questioned the resident and neighbors, but aren't releasing any further information.
