RALEIGH, N.C. — A teenager whose dirt bike crashed into a Wake County school bus was in good condition Thursday evening at WakeMed hospital, a spokeswoman said.
Investigators said Julian Thaxton, 17, was not wearing a helmet when he hit the bus head-on Wednesday.
The school district said 32 students were on the bus, but none of them was hurt when the driver swerved to try to avoid the motorcycle.
